Mr. Finley looks promising as Def Jam’s first Vegas hip-hop artist
Something fresh and about damn time is what Mr. Finley represents and it’s because Def Jam is courting talent from an unthinkable landscape – Las Vegas.
The city is well known for its entertainment exploits but I’m not sure anyone ever imagined Hip-Hop could stand strong on two legs and throw a punch hard enough to make you take notice of Vegas, but new Hip-Hop artist Mr. Finley is the proof in the pudding. Thanks to him and Ne-Yo, Vegas is molding an identity that conveys creativity and rawness.
Mr. Finley’s new single “For The Money” (listen below) is not that original in content, but the beat and his lyrics hit hard. If you add that along with his single “Any Night of The Week” it’s a strong indicator that he may be the next to follow in the steps of Jeezy and Rick Ross in levels of success and fame.
