Ayatollah – “Super Producer”
Yo Mad respect to my peoples over at TheUnderGroundComeUp for this jewel. As it was told to me here is a brief summary of this piece…
In this interview, we spoke outside the J Dilla album release for “Jay Stay Paid,” so it was only right that he share some words about how he first met Dilla. He also discusses how he got his name, current projects he’s working on, as well as the various production credits he’s had, coming up out with Lord Finesse, Large Pro, Marley Marl and all the dope producers that really made a mark in hip-hop. He introduces Satchel Page, an artist whose album is entirely produced by Ayatollah and the good homie spits a quick 16 and they send out RIPs to Dilla.
