There are always 2 sides to a story. The ‘other’ side is always darker and its a story that many like to compare to the underdog . Its the story that many would like to forget about. But the ‘other‘ side of this story is one about perseverence. Hailing from Chicago’s ‘other’ side, where pink sweaters and tight jeans can attract bullets, L.E.P. (low end professionals) has waded through gang violence and harsh realities there entire lives. Armed with a big single featuring Fabolous, major press in The Source and Ozone as well as a knack to move big mixtape units, L.E.P. is no longer on the low end.

What’s good L.E.P.? You guys have been extremely busy over last 2 years but for those who are new to the movement, run down the resume.

Laws & Policies over 60k, Gangbang Music 80k, Don’t Feed Da Killaz 120k, Don’t feed da Killaz 2 95k and….counting plus National Singles…Get it Like we Do f/ Young Dro, Getting’ Money f/ Jim Jones, We Ain’t Playin’ f/ Fabolous all with no major backing…We movin!

Let’s start at the beginning, how did the group L.E.P. Start and who were its original members?

The original L.E.P. consisted of me (Count), Monty, Outlaw and Larro (rest in peace) but now we have grown and now we added on my click the bogus boys and we all been tight, we just broke it up in different chapters.

How did you guys get noticed and When did you guys sign with Sony?

The CEO of our label had a relationship wit a A&R over at Sony by the name of Anton Marchand he respect our movement and the realism and quality in our music and gave it a shot! We still trump tight with Anton but when the Sony situation fell in we fell back and strengthened the movement and chose the independent route bangin out singles.

When tragedy hit home with Lil Larro, shortly after getting signed, it must have been a hard time, how did you guys trek through the hardship of his loss?

Emotionally it was hard to deal with but as far as work is concerned its something he would’ve wanted us to do…ya know keep pushin’. We just kept focus and the hard work shows in the music

Through the course of the last two years you have parted ways with Sony and independently have mad some major radio moved with 4 singles that included collabs with Young Dro, Jim Jones, Bump J and Fabolous, how did you guys manage to get those features and describe the radio recognition?

Good music speaks for itself and you have to know people. Pretty much, when you bring in a good product to someone, it’s hard to turn it down. Everybody that hears our music wants to be a part of it, ’cause they like what we got going on. We’re the next hottest thing, why wouldn’t you want to be a part of it? *laughs*

Now your doing it all indie. You recently gained the coveted ‘Off The Radar’ section in The Source, your on covers of Ozone and Streets Mos Magazines, various dvds and sites- where is the buzz at this point and what needs to happen next for L.E.P. To get that bigger situation to do this on a larger scale?

We need these radio stations in Chicago to plug in to help push this movement, we got a good number of the djs ridin’ wit us but we need the pds/mds to add some of this hot music we makin. it’s a damn shame when we gets adds everywhere in the US but can’t get it in our own city. They need to start helping the artist instead of tryin hurt em. We go everywhere else and the radio stations showin local artist love, u come here…no deals what we else gotta do we built our own nation wide buzz we reppin the city to da fullest, we on the covers of national magazine what more can we do to show these people we worth investin in.

You also have some serious you tube presence and your new video ‘handle my business/ fallback’ is on a lot of major sites and blogs- how important is the video these days with the web being so influential and what has the feedback been?

The net been really buzzing on the movement, the feedback has been tremendous, good and bad the bottom line is that the people wanna see the L.E.P/ Bogus Boys in the lime light. We just posted a new video out there for the fans too ..kinda of a introduction of who we are

Talk about ‘Don’t Feed The Killaz Pt 2′

The streets eatin;’ it up hands down…we got the whole city of Chicago buzzin’ bout the movement and everybody ready to plug in..the internet is just exposin’ the otha parts of the world to this movement so its real big right now as far as how many we moved…let’s just say we got another 50k just for the Ozone awards alone.

What’s next for L.E.P.?

Movies, more Videos, a few more singles and before the year is out a new situation, with a new label deal.
Where can fans find you online?

www.myspace.com/bogusboysinfared  & www.myspace.com/bogusboyslep

Any plugs or shouts?

It’s way too many to name. But everybody who support L.E.P/Bogus Boys : all the magazines, mixtape dvds, radio stations , and all the Djs spinnin the Single. R.I.P. Larro & Law.
