What up everyone! Its DJ Stevie D aka the Dick Clark of Hip Hop. I conducted this interview with Butta Verses due to all the hype/controversy about the “Rick Ross diss.

”

So as my friends I wanted to set the record straight and let the truth be told!

Interview with Butta Verses
July 26, 2008
1:23P.M.

Conversation between Stevie D and Butta Verses:

SD: “Why did you make this record?”
BV: “Thought the irony of the big kingpin of the hip hop game, being a CO was very funny. Watching him in the video where Rick Ross reacts to the allagations and the way that he lied about what he did was funny.

”

SD:”Are you worried about retaliation?”
BV: “Ive done this before, but it never went this far.

Its just funny, (Butta Verses laughs)

I didnt think this would get out of hand or I would have watched who I gave it to.

“(Butta laughs again)

SD:”What do you think of Rick Ross as a rapper?”
BV:” Rick Ross is one of the better rappers out of Miami. He is good with the law of space and syalables and his tone, but I disagree with what his message is, cause its poison.

”

SD:”What do you mean by poison?”
BV:”I feel that it is a conspiracy in which people use music the same way that they use drugs, like they destroyed The Black Panther Party. The music is idolized by young dis-affected people, its supposed to be art imitating life but there is too much sensationalism.

It is extremely Exaggerated.

”

SD:”Is this the first rapper that you dissed?”

BV:”Nah!”

SD:”Who was the first?”
BV:”Ive dissed alot of people, but I’m not a dude who is trying to make it off dissing people.

Again I had no intention of this being heard by as many people as it has.

”

SD: “So what if Rick Ross comes back at you on wax?”

BV: ” If he comes at me on wax, on a record, then you know we can continue that cause that’s what hip hop is in a sense. If he comes at me on the streets, I’m gonna run Mutha Fucka” Butta laughs. “Part of me feels like, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” Butta pauses, “I was the only dumb one who threw stones.

”

SD:”What is your real focus with your music?”
BV: “I’m just having fun.

Ive been in it for a minute, I enjoy hip hop, I enjoy comedy and I enjoying put it all together!”

SD: “Whats next for Butta Verses?”
BC: “A public apology to Rick Ross.

” (Butta laughs)

SD: “Nah for real though, whats your latest project?”
BV:”Reality BV, its just real Butta Verses playing off reality. Right now Reality TV is the biggest thing, Everyone is doing it, its just like playing off of that. Theres no difference between who John Cullen is and Who Butta Verses is.

”

SD:”Who is John Cullen?”
BV:”I am John Cullen.

”

SD: “Who is Butta Verses?”
BV:”Hes John Cullen, but It didn’t rhyme that well and It wasn’t all that impressive.

Listen to Reality BV if you want to know who i really am, because Reality BV goes through every emotion in my life.

I put it all into one nice sounding package for you, Go cop that!” LOL

SD:”Are there any other rappers that you may be getting at in the future?”
BV: “I don’t know? Like i said i didn’t intend for it to do this, but if I do get at another rapper then the times will provide the material.

”

SD:”Who is your top 5 MCs?”
BV:”Black Thought, Elzhi .Black milk ,Butta Verses” (he laughs) “D.Schwartz.

”

SD:”No old school?”
BV:”Nah they old, old niggas cant be on top”.

SD:”Who are your least favorite rappers?”
BV:”Solijah boy, Bird Man Vic, the dude who did Billy, Missy Elliot, that’s all i got for now.

”

SD:”Any last words?” LOL
BV:”I want to be cremated” LOL. “No for real though, the fact is, the more you front, the more you get put in the front.

”

“Shouts out to all my friends, shout out to South Florida, everybody trying to make it in the game”.

SD final thoughts.

I’m just gonna quote Butta Verses outro from his first song. “Just the facts”.

” Alotta mutha fuckas gonna catch feelings off this shit but emotions is real. If you don’t think you the flyest muth fucka then you ain’t bout shit, Ill tell you that right now, right mutha fuckin now.
