What’s the deal everybody, its your boy Badnews, and I literally just got off the phone hours ago with Sean P. ½ of the Atlanta based rap group Youngbloodz. If you haven’t heard by now, Sean P’s manager Peter Geffen is in some serious trouble right now facing charges that could land him in jail for a long time. Now some of you bloggers and reporters out there are mixing Sean P.’s name in with the allegations concerning Geffen, and Sean P. wants to make it very clear that he has nothing to do with this at all. So check this out and read this word from word so we can clear the air. Shout out to Candice

Badnews: I know you really want to speak on this situation right now, but let’s talk about you real quick. How you been, I know you’re in the studio right now…

Sean P: I’ve been good… just sitting back and getting to this music. Were all working and getting ready to work on this Youngbloodz album and getting our music together.

Badnews: So you’re working on the album, but is there any new music coming out from you in the coming weeks… any mixtapes or anything?

Sean P.: No, I been in the studio just focused on this album. We got a lot of new material, were working with some new artists so it’s going to be crazy. We don’t have a release date or anything yet were just in the lab working.

Badnews: That’s what’s up. What else have you been doing other than music?

Sean P. : Not much just beating down the block, trying to make moves and meeting new producers and people.

Badnews: Ok. Now let’s get into this situation. Your manager is Peter Geffen, and he’s gotten into some real deep trouble, but for those that don’t really know what’s going on, could you tell them what is happening?

Sean P: I really haven’t even looked at the case myself but I just want to say I have nothing to do with that, I wasn’t involved in anything. When all this went down, I was actually in Germany, so I wasn’t involved. Me and him have a professional relationship and it was always about business. Most of the time we would just handle our business over the phone. He’s a Cali dude and I’m in ATL.

Badnews: So it’s just professional between you two.

Sean P: Yes. I don’t know the personal side of him, me and him never got down like that. But I hope that it all works out for him in the end.

Badnews: Ok so Sean P. of the Youngbloodz had absolutely nothing to do with the charges against his manager peter Geffen.

Sean P: Right. But like I said I hope it all works out for him and everything gets cleared up so we can get back to business.

Badnews: Me too. Aright, now I’ve been hearing a few things out here and people been saying your involved or whatever, but why would they report that and say that?

Sean P: I’m just a cool young dude I don’t know… maybe it’s my time to shine (laughs) I really don’t know. They probably just wanted to attach my name to this so they can make there articles look nice and draw attention.

Badnews: Probably. Adding your name into it does make it readable, but I don’t know either. But let’s break it down: number 1: you were in another country during the time of all this 2: You really don’t know what’s going on concerning the charges and 3: you do not have a personal relationship with Geffen, its all business. Now even after you just said you have no involvement and some people will still write whatever, what do you want to tell them?

Sean P: Right. Slow down man… that’s what I want to tell them. He’s a Cali dude I’m a Georgia dude. I’m either in the lab or at home with my wife and kids where I should be.

Badnews: That’s what’s up. He lives in California and your In Atlanta .

Sean P: Right.

Badnews: Now for those that still want to talk, you have no album set to drop or no movie or other projects coming out so this isn’t a promotional stunt from you end what so ever…

Sean P: I have nothing to promote, there’s nothing from Sean P right now. I don’t rock like that. I wouldn’t worry about dropping albums knowing my manager is having problems like this.
Badnews: Ok. Now what do you want to tell Peter Geffen publicly? Or is there anything you want to help him with?

Sean P: There’s nothing I can really do. All I can do and say is I hope everything goes ok for him, hold your head up and I hope it’s not true.

Badnews: Cool…

Sean P.: I mean everybody is grown and knows right from wrong so all I can say is hold your head up and talk to God that’s the best help he can get.

Badnews: That’s true. So you all are still together professionally, these charges hasn’t effected anything between you two for right now?

Sean P: I mean if it is true of course it’s going to affect our business together…

but when it’s all cleared up, we can get back to working together. But just talk to God and keep your head up.

Badnews: Well I hope everything works out for him.

Sean P: Me too. But just let them know that managers and the artists are two different people. We all in this business have managers and we all know how it goes down.

Badnews: I will for sure. And now a side note real quick, the Youngbloodz are still together you all haven’t broken up or anything. There’s no beef at all. You all are in the lab as we speak…

Sean P: J-Bo is my brother. Were not breaking up or anything Youngbloodz is here forever repping that A and putting out good music

Badnews: Well I know we can’t wait for you all to drop. Thank you for taking the time out to talk to me I really do appreciate this

Sean P: No thank you. I just wanted everybody to know what’s going on in the streets and let them know that I’m here in the lab working hard and thank everyone who supports Youngbloodz we love our fans and I hope your all coo where you all are at, and I hope you’re fine out where you are.

Badnews: Thanks my man. Good luck with everything and I will get your side out a.s.a.p.
