Hi Hiphopruckians,

I’m pleased to announce an official rating system for album reviews. It’s called “AMPS,” real simple right, but that was the goal along with the intent to be creative as hell. AMPS was created to add another dimension to the site and to give you guys another reason to say that you like us. In the coming weeks you will begin to see a lot more reviews, so get familiar with the AMPS legend and stay focused yo. Hiphopruckus.com is where is at and as long as we keep breathing, we’ll continue help expand the true culture of Hip-Hop with honest thoughts backed with a passion for delivering the best shit! – The Beast

Unit’s In The City (Review)
The first solo album from D4L member Shawty-Lo is an impressive album that is sure to have trunks rattling as the bass ridding album conjures up a collage of nice tracks.

The first lead single - They Know (Dey Know) - garnished the rapper a slew of fans that instantly transformed those thoughts of another “snap” album into dust. Unit’s In The City is a 15 track ride through Bankhead, Atlanta with stops in between to Magic City and The Waffle House after the club.

Tracks Dunn Dunn, “which I feel should be the next single released,” and Ain’t No Tellin’ You feat. Phace Baity adds the uncontrolled urge to push repeat while tracks Feels Good To Be Here and GA Lotto loose focus and bring the overall effort of the album down a bit, but all in all it’s a really great album that should make the strongest of D4L haters quiet for a minute.

“You will always have popular rappers who are true to the period with songs that are forgettable and careers that don’t last forever. They are only as good as their last hit. But I feel that the non-lyrical or “swag rappers” as I like to call them deserve some shine.” – BadNews

< ![CDATA[I think Shawty Lo is what that is even though I get him confused with FloRIda sometimes, but other than that he cool. I wonder what the deal is on all the people trying to steal Jeezy sound though. Rocko with the Umma do me, I thought the beat sounded like Generic Usda
