What's up everybody, it's your boy Destro The Bigga Figga back up in this bitch with some extra relicent shit for your earpiece. Quick history lesson, what beat did Tupac (“Definition of A Thug Nigga”), Black Moon (“Buck Em Down”)and Organized Konfusion (“Stray Bullet”) sample in their songs? Well, it was Donald Byrd's "Wind Parade". Listen to the beat for a few minutes and you'll know what I mean!! This is one of many original samples which will be heard on an upcoming album entitled "Droppin' Science" which hits the shelves on 2/12/08. Anyways, slow it down a notch when you hear this mane and pour one out for the HipHopRuckus crew...more original grooves on the way in the coming days so stay tuned!!
FLO SAYS: What's ill is this is one of my favorite songs by Byrd... I can listen to this song all day long. And all three of the songs Destro listed are some of my favorites by those artists, especially 'Pac. I remember when I first heard the Poetic Justice soundtrack how deeply I fell in love with "Definition...": "I play the cards I was given/Thank God I'm still livin'/Pack my 9 til it's time to go to prison..." Whew... Took me back with that one! Do some research, you ingrates!
